An acrylic painting measuring 36”x48”. One of the few paintings exploring my Hidatsa ancestor, Poor Wolf. This painting and coloration of Poor Wolf, who sits on the right, and Crow’s Breast on the left, is based on a photograph by Stanley J. Morrow around the 1870’s. Leaders of the Black Mouth Society, Crow’s Breast and Poor Wolf bought into this police society as a form of managed protection of the camp and community. Set upon an abstract background and depicting their stoicism, they mean business are not fooling around when it comes to safety. Shipping is not included in the pricing and will be determined after checkout, once location is learned.
